The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift - Albert Einstein
I am a Sydney based medical doctor, Ayurveda and Yoga therapist and writer.
Ayurveda, the traditional system of healing that has arisen in the Indian subcontinent over the past 6,000 years, is my enduring passion.
I have been active in teaching Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation around Australia over the last twenty years, both of which I use extensively in my clinical practice.
I have also done extensive training in various complementary medicine therapies including somatic or body-oriented psychotherapy, massage, iridology, Reiki, and reflexology which I use to inform my work with patients.
I am currently involved in making Ayurveda more accessible to western audiences and teaching Ayurveda as a science of self-healing at Nature Care College in Sydney.
I also run regular courses around Australia and am available to teach outside of Sydney.
I work at Bondi Road Doctors medical centre in Sydney, my practice is oriented to helping people heal from chronic illness and in the promotion of wellbeing.
I treat all types of chronic disease including cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, hypertension, ischaemic heart disease and neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.
All my consultations run for 55 minutes and involve a holistic approach to assessment and treatment. A consultation may involve:
- assessment of Ayurvedic body-type
- dietary and lifestyle counselling
- prescription of kitchen and medicinal herbs
- instruction in yoga postures and breathing exercises
